Apple Bites

I wanted to share a recipe I created--first time! I call these

Apple Bites
2 apples peeled, cored, chopped into small pieces
2-3 Tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
sprinkle salt
1/4 cup almonds, slivered or could use walnuts
1/4 cup dried cranberries or raisins
(adjust amounts to taste)

1 pkg refrigerated crescent rolls

Mix all together (except rolls).

Unwrap rolls into cupcake pan. You could use any kind of biscuit dough, I think.

Spoon mixture into rolls, about half full.

Fold triangle ends of crescent into middle, like folding a diaper.

Bake at 375 for about 12 minutes.

My Bites shown here are too full. I think I used 2-3 apples. I didn't want to open another 8-roll pkg of biscuits! Hannah, Tim and I really liked these, as well as the ones I made for Maverick minus the cranberries and almonds. I don't think Makenna liked these so well.
