Farm Days

here's a page from when we went to Lewis' Petting Farm this fall. It was a windy, warm day, and very busy! I wanted to go with my husband, so we went on a Sunday afternoon. His dad drove down to spend the afternoon there with us. It was some good memory building time. most of the paper here is non SU, except for the Purely Pomegranate. The stamp set is the hostess set from Level 3 in the new catalog. I used Basic Brown ink and cut out all the flowers and leaves and stem. I'm not a fan of cutting, but I seem to do alot of it! I layered a tiny flower in the center of the large orange flowers to make them pop a bit. I used the photo corner punch and layered the 2 sizes to make some color and make the larger pictures have more emphasis. I punched holes and set 3 eyelets in each of these corners using my CropADile. The title, Farm, uses the retired Whimsical Alphabet, stamped on white paper with Basic Brown ink, layered on Purely Pomegranate paper. The "f" is on chipboard, with Certainly Celery POP paper, with distressed edges (from sponged brown ink). I stamped a pair of parenthesis (non SU stamp) with basic Brown on Purely Pom paper.
I used this layout so that I could get many pictures in one layout. While I like the pics I used, I didn't want to make this Farm event into more pages. Also, many of the pictures from this day made up the book that I made for Makenna's birthday, so I didn't want to use all the animal shots again.
